# YY HD vs 央视频

The clearest difference is rating: YY HD at 4.5 against 央视频's 2.5. YY HD also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). 央视频's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (29% vs 13%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YY HD sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and 央视频 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

YY HD holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 26 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of YY HD's written reviews are positive against 29% of 央视频's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

YY HD ships an update every 2 months, 央视频 every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
