# Mobile Security Camera vs iCam Pro

The clearest difference is rating: iCam Pro at 4.3 against Mobile Security Camera's 3.7. iCam Pro also leads on ratings volume (288 vs 10). Mobile Security Camera's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mobile Security Camera sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and iCam Pro sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iCam Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iCam Pro has 288 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Mobile Security Camera's written reviews are positive against 48% of iCam Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mobile Security Camera ships an update monthly, iCam Pro every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
