# EZSchoolPay vs Union

The clearest difference is monetization model: Union at free against EZSchoolPay's free with in-app purchases. EZSchoolPay's advantage is rating (2.3 vs 2.0) and ratings volume (39 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EZSchoolPay holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EZSchoolPay has 39 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
