# Palm Reading Lite vs Palm Reader

The clearest difference is rating: Palm Reader at 4.2 against Palm Reading Lite's 2.9. Palm Reader also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (581 vs 7). Palm Reading Lite's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palm Reading Lite sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Palm Reader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Palm Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Palm Reader has 581 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Palm Reading Lite's written reviews are positive against 26% of Palm Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Palm Reading Lite ships an update every 13 months, Palm Reader every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
