# Friday Messages vs Spichr

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Friday Messages at none against Spichr's 1. Spichr's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 6 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spichr sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Friday Messages asks for nothing beyond the download.

Friday Messages ships an update every 6 months, Spichr every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
