# MyChamplainValley vs Valley News

The clearest difference is update cadence: MyChamplainValley at every 6 weeks against Valley News's every 8 months. MyChamplainValley also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.4) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyChamplainValley holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 377 and 567 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of MyChamplainValley's written reviews are positive against 83% of Valley News's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyChamplainValley ships an update every 6 weeks, Valley News every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
