# Slopes vs btrd

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: btrd at none against Slopes's 6. Slopes's advantage is ratings volume (88K vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slopes sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. btrd asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Slopes against 5.0 for btrd. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slopes has 88K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Slopes ships an update every 9 days, btrd every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
