# Cosmic Brush vs Abstractor

The clearest difference is rating: Abstractor at 5.0 against Cosmic Brush's 4.6. Abstractor also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). Cosmic Brush's advantage is ratings volume (132 vs 5) and review sentiment (88% vs 71%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cosmic Brush sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Abstractor sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Abstractor holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cosmic Brush has 132 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Cosmic Brush's written reviews are positive against 71% of Abstractor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cosmic Brush ships an update every 2 months, Abstractor every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
