# Cosmic Brush vs Sketch Pro

The clearest difference is ads: Cosmic Brush at none against Sketch Pro's shown. Cosmic Brush also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Sketch Pro's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 132) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cosmic Brush sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Sketch Pro sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Cosmic Brush against 4.7 for Sketch Pro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sketch Pro has 12K ratings behind it against 132, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of Cosmic Brush's written reviews are positive against 81% of Sketch Pro's.

Cosmic Brush ships an update every 2 months, Sketch Pro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
