# BossNote vs Agenda

The clearest difference is rating: Agenda at 4.6 against BossNote's 4.0. Agenda also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (3.7K vs 16). BossNote's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BossNote sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Agenda sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Agenda holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Agenda has 3.7K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of BossNote's written reviews are positive against 64% of Agenda's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BossNote ships an update every 2 months, Agenda weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
