# eBar vs Text

The clearest difference is rating: eBar at 5.0 against Text's 3.0. eBar also leads on ads (none vs shown). Text's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eBar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Text sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

eBar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively.

eBar ships an update every 6 weeks, Text every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
