Ammo Inventory — Track Your Rounds Never show up to the range underprepared again. Ammo Inventory is the complete ammunition tracking app built for serious shooters who want to know exactly what they have, where it is, and when they're running low. TRACK EVERYTHING Ammo Inventory supports 150+ calibers across four categories — Rimfire, Shotgun, Handgun, and Rifle. From .22 LR to .50 BMG, 9mm to .458 SOCOM, if you shoot it, we track it. Adding rounds takes seconds. Log what you've used just as fast. NEVER GET CAUGHT SHORT Set a custom low-stock alert threshold for every single caliber in your inventory. KNOW YOUR NUMBERS The Statistics dashboard gives you a complete picture of your entire arsenal at a glance. Total round count, breakdown by category, animated progress bars, and a dedicated low-stock alert section so you always know where you stand. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ammo Inventory at 100% against AmmoDB's 54%. Ammo Inventory also leads on monetization model (free vs paid) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). AmmoDB's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 27 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

AmmoDB holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ammo Inventory has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of AmmoDB's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ammo Inventory's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

AmmoDB ships an update every 2 weeks, Ammo Inventory every 27 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
