# LDS Study Group vs Latter Study

The clearest difference is rating: Latter Study at 4.6 against LDS Study Group's 4.3. LDS Study Group's advantage is review sentiment (78% vs 64%) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.1). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LDS Study Group sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Latter Study sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Latter Study holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 22 and 59 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of LDS Study Group's written reviews are positive against 64% of Latter Study's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LDS Study Group ships an update monthly, Latter Study every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
