# Hover vs Glowry

The clearest difference is rating: Glowry at 5.0 against Hover's 2.9. Glowry also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 2 weeks) and device support (4 vs 2). Hover's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (101 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hover sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Glowry sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Glowry holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hover has 101 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hover ships an update every 2 weeks, Glowry daily. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
