# DOOS vs Prep'd

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DOOS at 55% against Prep'd's 14%. DOOS also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). Prep'd's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DOOS holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DOOS has 329 ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 55% of DOOS's written reviews are positive against 14% of Prep'd's.

DOOS ships an update every 4 days, Prep'd every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
