# Drum Coach vs Drumr

The clearest difference is ads: Drumr at none against Drum Coach's shown. Drumr also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and review sentiment (86% vs 75%). Drum Coach's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (441 vs 95). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drum Coach sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Drumr sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drum Coach holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 441 and 95 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Drum Coach's written reviews are positive against 86% of Drumr's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drum Coach ships an update fortnightly, Drumr every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
