# HabitHero vs Timer for Kids

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Timer for Kids at none against HabitHero's 1. Timer for Kids also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). HabitHero's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HabitHero sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Timer for Kids asks for nothing beyond the download.

HabitHero holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of HabitHero's written reviews are positive against 100% of Timer for Kids's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HabitHero ships an update every 3 months, Timer for Kids monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
