# Proton Pass vs SnipSnapp

The clearest difference is update cadence: SnipSnapp at every 5 days against Proton Pass's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Proton Pass sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $35.90 per year and SnipSnapp sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Proton Pass ships an update every 2 weeks, SnipSnapp every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
