# Palmo vs SimpleBud

The clearest difference is update cadence: SimpleBud at fortnightly against Palmo's every 2 months. SimpleBud also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palmo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and SimpleBud sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Palmo ships an update every 2 months, SimpleBud fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
