# Westinghouse vs VelaSmart

The clearest difference is rating: VelaSmart at 5.0 against Westinghouse's 2.9. VelaSmart also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 17 months). Westinghouse's advantage is ratings volume (13 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VelaSmart holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Westinghouse has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Westinghouse ships an update every 17 months, VelaSmart monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
