# Type One Style vs COLDEST

The clearest difference is ratings volume: COLDEST at 2.2K against Type One Style's 190. COLDEST also leads on review sentiment (95% vs 85%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Type One Style against 4.8 for COLDEST. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: COLDEST has 2.2K ratings behind it against 190, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 85% of Type One Style's written reviews are positive against 95% of COLDEST's.

Type One Style ships an update every 5 weeks, COLDEST every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 8, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
