# Mimas vs ScreenStream

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mimas at weekly against ScreenStream's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mimas sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ScreenStream sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mimas ships an update weekly, ScreenStream every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
