# SMSVerified vs FreePhone.io

The clearest difference is rating: SMSVerified at 4.4 against FreePhone.io's 2.5. SMSVerified also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (529 vs 22). FreePhone.io's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SMSVerified sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and FreePhone.io sells 16 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SMSVerified holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMSVerified has 529 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 35% of SMSVerified's written reviews are positive against 27% of FreePhone.io's.

SMSVerified ships an update every 3 months, FreePhone.io fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
