# Forja vs Anime Slayer

The clearest difference is rating: Anime Slayer at 4.2 against Forja's 2.9. Anime Slayer also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly) and ratings volume (595 vs 72). Forja's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 0%) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anime Slayer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Forja asks for nothing beyond the download.

Anime Slayer holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anime Slayer has 595 ratings behind it against 72, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Forja's written reviews are positive against 0% of Anime Slayer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Forja ships an update monthly, Anime Slayer every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
