# HolStrength vs 3

The clearest difference is monetization model: HolStrength at free against 3's free with in-app purchases. HolStrength also leads on ratings volume (3.8K vs 138). 3's advantage is iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for HolStrength against 4.9 for 3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HolStrength has 3.8K ratings behind it against 138, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 99% and 100% positive.

HolStrength ships an update every 3 weeks, 3 every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
