# NFC vs Shortcuts for Action Button 15

The clearest difference is monetization model: NFC at free with in-app purchases against Shortcuts for Action Button 15's subscription. NFC also leads on review sentiment (40% vs 10%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Shortcuts for Action Button 15's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (136 vs 3). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NFC sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Shortcuts for Action Button 15 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.79 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shortcuts for Action Button 15 holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shortcuts for Action Button 15 has 136 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of NFC's written reviews are positive against 10% of Shortcuts for Action Button 15's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NFC ships an update monthly, Shortcuts for Action Button 15 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
