# NFC vs Live Shortcut

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Live Shortcut at 70% against NFC's 40%. Live Shortcut also leads on ratings volume (9 vs 3). NFC's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months) and rating (4.0 vs 3.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NFC sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Live Shortcut sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NFC holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of NFC's written reviews are positive against 70% of Live Shortcut's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NFC ships an update monthly, Live Shortcut every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
