# Red Chilli VPN vs ScamJunk

The clearest difference is update cadence: ScamJunk at every 3 days against Red Chilli VPN's every 3 months. Red Chilli VPN's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Red Chilli VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and ScamJunk sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Red Chilli VPN ships an update every 3 months, ScamJunk every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
