# Gowow APP vs Speedometer GPS

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Gowow APP at 100% against Speedometer GPS's 33%. Gowow APP also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and device support (3 vs 1). Speedometer GPS's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (8.6K vs 2). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedometer GPS sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Gowow APP asks for nothing beyond the download.

Speedometer GPS holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedometer GPS has 8.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Gowow APP's written reviews are positive against 33% of Speedometer GPS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
