# Now Playing Plus vs NOCTA

The clearest difference is update cadence: NOCTA at every 10 days against Now Playing Plus's every 9 months. Now Playing Plus's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Now Playing Plus ships an update every 9 months, NOCTA every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
