# Shelf vs Pixize

The clearest difference is ads: Shelf at none against Pixize's shown. Shelf also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). Pixize's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shelf sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Pixize sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shelf ships an update every 2 days, Pixize every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
