# SG Proof vs WinePOS

The clearest difference is rating: WinePOS at 2.8 against SG Proof's 2.2. WinePOS also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly). SG Proof's advantage is ratings volume (125 vs 6) and review sentiment (16% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WinePOS holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SG Proof has 125 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of SG Proof's written reviews are positive against 0% of WinePOS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SG Proof ships an update monthly, WinePOS weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
