# Step Stats vs Reflex

The clearest difference is update cadence: Reflex at every 2 days against Step Stats's every 5 months. Step Stats's advantage is iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Step Stats sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Reflex sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step Stats ships an update every 5 months, Reflex every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
