# Fish Counter App vs Fishtechy

The clearest difference is rating: Fishtechy at 4.4 against Fish Counter App's 3.7. Fishtechy also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 10 months). Fish Counter App's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 40%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fishtechy holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fishtechy has 192 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Fish Counter App's written reviews are positive against 40% of Fishtechy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fish Counter App ships an update every 10 months, Fishtechy every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
