# Spy vs Hidden Camera

The clearest difference is ads: Spy at none against Hidden Camera's shown. Spy also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 85). Hidden Camera's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spy sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Hidden Camera sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Spy against 4.6 for Hidden Camera. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spy has 1.1K ratings behind it against 85, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Spy ships an update every 4 weeks, Hidden Camera fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
