# Spy vs Smart Privacy & Device Tools

The clearest difference is rating: Smart Privacy & Device Tools at 5.0 against Spy's 4.5. Smart Privacy & Device Tools also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks). Spy's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spy sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Smart Privacy & Device Tools sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Smart Privacy & Device Tools holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spy has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Spy ships an update every 4 weeks, Smart Privacy & Device Tools every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
