# Pixel Hole vs The Alpha

The clearest difference is rating: Pixel Hole at 5.0 against The Alpha's 4.0. Pixel Hole also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and ads (none vs shown). The Alpha's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 46 months) and ratings volume (49 vs 2). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Alpha sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Pixel Hole asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pixel Hole holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Alpha has 49 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pixel Hole ships an update every 46 months, The Alpha fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
