# BB vs Screenable

The clearest difference is ads: BB at none against Screenable's shown. BB also leads on ratings volume (391 vs 37). Screenable's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BB sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Screenable sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for BB against 4.9 for Screenable. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BB has 391 ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of BB's written reviews are positive against 100% of Screenable's.

BB ships an update every 3 weeks, Screenable fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
