# Whisper Memos vs WalkWrite

The clearest difference is monetization model: WalkWrite at free with in-app purchases against Whisper Memos's subscription. WalkWrite also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Whisper Memos's advantage is ratings volume (430 vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whisper Memos sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $8.00 per 7 days and WalkWrite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WalkWrite holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whisper Memos has 430 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Whisper Memos ships an update every 3 days, WalkWrite every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
