# Futhark vs Oathfire

The clearest difference is ads: Oathfire at none against Futhark's shown. Oathfire also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Futhark sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Oathfire sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Futhark ships an update every 5 weeks, Oathfire every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
