# Poster Maker vs Posterly

The clearest difference is monetization model: Posterly at free with in-app purchases against Poster Maker's subscription. Poster Maker's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Poster Maker sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Posterly sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Poster Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Poster Maker has 10K ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 69% of Poster Maker's written reviews are positive against 59% of Posterly's.

Poster Maker ships an update every 10 days, Posterly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
