# HAMStat vs EGO Connect

The clearest difference is update cadence: EGO Connect at every 5 weeks against HAMStat's every 7 months. EGO Connect also leads on ratings volume (6.5K vs 11) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for HAMStat against 4.8 for EGO Connect. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EGO Connect has 6.5K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HAMStat ships an update every 7 months, EGO Connect every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
