# Seed vs Black Ambition

The clearest difference is ads: Seed at none against Black Ambition's shown. Seed also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Black Ambition's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 46 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Seed against 5.0 for Black Ambition. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Black Ambition has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Seed ships an update every 46 months, Black Ambition fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
