# Mockup Screenshot vs Terminux

The clearest difference is price: Terminux at Free against Mockup Screenshot's $0.99. Terminux also leads on rating (4.5 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (83 vs 9). Mockup Screenshot's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 36%) and in-app purchases (none vs 8). On update cadence, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Terminux is free to download; Mockup Screenshot costs $0.99 up front. Terminux sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Mockup Screenshot asks for nothing beyond the download.

Terminux holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Terminux has 83 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Mockup Screenshot's written reviews are positive against 36% of Terminux's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
