# MAM vs Identify Plants

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MAM at none against Identify Plants's 3. MAM also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.0). Identify Plants's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Identify Plants sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. MAM asks for nothing beyond the download.

MAM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Identify Plants has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
