# PLAYER IPTV vs Xtream IPTV Smart Player

The clearest difference is rating: PLAYER IPTV at 3.0 against Xtream IPTV Smart Player's 2.0. PLAYER IPTV also leads on device support (4 vs 2). Xtream IPTV Smart Player's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PLAYER IPTV sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Xtream IPTV Smart Player sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PLAYER IPTV holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of PLAYER IPTV's written reviews are positive against 33% of Xtream IPTV Smart Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PLAYER IPTV ships an update every 5 months, Xtream IPTV Smart Player every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 3, 2026.
