# Hydra TV vs Vizo Player

The clearest difference is rating: Vizo Player at 5.0 against Hydra TV's 3.6. Hydra TV's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (25 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vizo Player holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hydra TV has 25 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hydra TV ships an update every 3 weeks, Vizo Player every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
