# Bariatric Eating vs Bariatric Buddy

The clearest difference is ads: Bariatric Buddy at none against Bariatric Eating's shown. Bariatric Buddy also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). Bariatric Eating's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (231 vs 43). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bariatric Eating holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bariatric Eating has 231 ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Bariatric Eating's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bariatric Buddy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
