# Fresh Diary vs MiiBook Journal

Fresh Diary and MiiBook Journal both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Fresh Diary's written reviews are positive against 63% of MiiBook Journal's. Fresh Diary also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fresh Diary sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and MiiBook Journal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Fresh Diary against 4.8 for MiiBook Journal. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fresh Diary has 31 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Fresh Diary's written reviews are positive against 63% of MiiBook Journal's.

Fresh Diary ships an update every 6 days, MiiBook Journal monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
