# Friends vs SlayPoints

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SlayPoints at none against Friends's 1. Friends's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 12 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Friends sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. SlayPoints asks for nothing beyond the download.

Friends ships an update fortnightly, SlayPoints every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
